Truths about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
A lesson in gratitude.

Life happens and sometimes we don't always know and appreciate all the are Heavenly Father has in store for us. I am thankful today for a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the most part those that read my blog are my friends and family who share my beliefs. For those that don't know me, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. On Sundays I would like to share my beliefs. My faith is centered in Jesus Christ. I am a christian. It is my prayer as you come to know me you come to know him.

The following video is a message in gratitude. You will need to put my music player on pause to hear better.

And...here we go!

1. I'm so excited to get my room makeover done, I'm excited for the big reveal, I am not going to make a guess when that will be.

2. Why do I have to be patient and not have to wait.

3. How does this phone work, anyway?

4. Every morning, I put i-pod on my arm band and set out on my morning walk.

5. I consider myself lucky because I have a knowledge of who I am and where I want to go.

6. One day we’ll see our Savior Jesus Christ face to face.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxing, I am so sore from painting, tomorrow my plans include cleaning the kitchen in our new Church and Sunday, I want to go to all of my Church meetings, have a nice dinner with my family, and enjoying time with my family!

Friday Memes:

Food for thought..............

Breakfast
Who was your childhood hero? My Grandmothers! I loved them both so very much! They lived close and I would go and stay with them for two weeks in the summertime! One week with my Grandmas Dora in the quiet town of Mayfield, UT. She would take me to visit her sisters, we would quilt, make cookies and watch soap operas! I would go home addicted to "Days of our Lives" . When I would go back home my mom would never let me watch so I would have to wait until the next summer to catch up! Grandma Dora was always dressed to the hilt with her hair all done up and ear rings on. Her home was immaculate, she taught me grace and poise. Grandma Ruth was just the opposite she was always on the go looking for someone to help and serve. If she saw a hitch-hiker on our route ( which happened twice when I was with her) she would stop pick them up, take them into town and buy them lunch and put them on the bus. My week with her was filled with, working in her garden, quilting, cooking and do Relief Society stuff. I think she was the Relief Society president for 25 years!! Two totally different women and I like to think I have a little of both of them in me!

Lunch
In your opinion what is the world's greatest invention so far? I would have to say the computer and the automobile! I also love my bread maker!!

Dinner
What time do you typically get up in the morning and what time do you usually go to bed? I wake up without an alarm almost every morning at 5:30am. On weekends I try to sleep in or at least stay in bed until 7:00am! I am usually in bed by 10:30 except weekend, it is harder and harder for me to stay up late!

Midnight Snack
What was your last thought? Spring is on its way!

Recipe for the Week (instead of your recipe for life, what is it just for this week?

I finally picked out a COLOR!

I mentioned in a couple posts back that I was getting ready to repaint my bedroom. Remember, I asked for all the advice!! By the way I appreciated all the great advice. I still was having such a hard time deciding when I had my sister Kim over. I have made my decision thanks to Kim"s great insight! She is going into interior design at Utah State her schooling along with her natural talent has given her great vision. She helped me to in vision what I could do with my room and even how I could restore an old dresser we inherited from John's great Grandmother! Yes, it is about 100 years old and it is in great shape. The top was warped by some water other that that it is great and will be perfect for the look we are creating! Kim took me shopping to Hobby Lobby and we picked out some really great things to decorate with. I have in mind what I am going to do for my bed coverings and pillows and accessories! I am sooooooooo excited and am trying to be patient for the whole thing to come together.

Today I finished the painting! Holly Cow, it has taken me three days and two nights sleeping on the couch because I didn't want to get high from the fumes. I painted everything, the ceiling the trim and the doors!! I love the color!! NO! I am not going to reveal any details until it is complete. I have a before picture, and when I am done I will give the BIG reveal!! So stay in touch. The new carpet (which is the whole reason for the whole makeover) is coming on Thursday! I had never won one anything in my life until last fall when the soccer team held their annual raffle........I WON a $350.00 gift certificate for NEW carpet!! So yes, this is the reason for the room makeover. When it is all over with will see how much I really spend re-doing my bedroom from top to bottom!

words to live by

Words that count............

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.

If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep.

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

The best vitamin for making friends..... B1.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge.

One thing you can give and still keep...is your word.

You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself.

If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.

One thing you can't recycle is wasted time.

'Love the HAIR ... Who's his Stylist?'

Ideas won't work unless ' You' do.

Your mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open.

The 10 commandments are not a multiple choice.

The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime! It isnever too late to become what you might have been.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a! second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I received these great words of wisdom via the email! Feel free to pass it on!

This past week certainly took us by surprise!
We met with our Stake President on Wednesday to find out that our missionary was going to be coming home on Thursday! We knew that he was struggling ,not feeling himself but we had no idea that it was serious. They had been giving him some medications and he has been suffering from the side effects of the medication in a bad way. His mission President felt it would be best for him to come home and receive the care he needs without the stress of mission life. I went to Dallas on Thursday to travel home with him. It was soooo great to see him! He has a wonderful mission President who has been so concerned about him. As a mom it was a neat experience to learn all the good he has done in the short amount of time he has served. I received sooooo many complements, of his friendly nature and great manners and of the great things he has done. It is a great payday to hear all the good your children do in the world! It is hopeful we can treat the symptoms and get him back into the work he so much wanted to be about doing. It is hard as a parent to see your child come up against a brick wall and know that they need to get over it without you! Life happens! Curves come up in the plan..............Faith is knowing the sun will shine again! We love you Kasey and know you are coming into your greatness!
