Prom!
No, you can't go in your soccer shorts!

And no Zane was not his DATE!!

Notice the white tux.........when we met up with them after the promenade Alex has something very orange all over the bottom part of his tux!! I didn't get to look at all the great dresses but spent the time trying various method of getting the orange (later we found out barbecue sauce) out of the jacket!! YES I did get it out!! He smelled like Clorox the rest of the night but hey, it was white again!!
Alex took Hope the girl in the light blue green dress and black top! I didn't realize until I went to post these pics that I didn't get one of them together. He had fun coming up with a way to ask her and had a great time at the dance. He asked her by placing a walkie talkie with a note and then rang the door bell and waited in the bushes with another walkie talkie. When she pick up he asked her to prom and she accepted. Pretty cleaver!!
He and his buddies rented a van and all went together and seemed to have a great time!
My last one to go to PROM!! They are growing up fast. Enjoy the pics.........

"Never forget that the first step in getting help is asking for it." Brook Noel

We are not Super Woman... she had a cape. Most super-heros even have sidekicks, Batman has Robin, SuperMan can count on Lois Lane, Luke Skywalker has Yoda and Obi-One. I don't know why so many women feel the need to be SuperWoman or "do it all on their own." While it might seem that makes us more "independent," or "strong," it doesn't make a lot of sense if you step back a minute and think about it.

How many people in this world operate completely independent, capable of doing it all themselves? I can't think of a successful CEO who isn't backed by talented executives. I am unaware of a politician that isn't helped by aides or campaign managers. School have boards and churches have presidencies and axillary boards for guidance. So why do we think that we can, or should, "do it all?"

Instead of striving to "do it all" or "beating yourself up" when you can't do it all--switch to a "team spirit" mentality. Find supportive players to be a part of your team and ask for help when you need it. Doing everything ourselves doesn't makes us "stronger," it makes us more lonely and needlessly stressed.

Even though everyone in our household is over 16 we still have chore charts and expectations of each member of our family. I needed to ask for help from my family to run the household, I realized early on I could not do it ALL alone! I believe we are a stronger family when we work together!

I have a quote hanging in my kitchen that reads: "We may not have it all together, but together we have it ALL"

If you are running on overload ask yourself: How have you tried to "do it all" in your life? What were the results? Who can be a part of your support team? Who can you ask for help?

Remember, asking for help does not make you weaker it makes you STRONGER!

And...here we go!

1. Why do we have to pay taxes?

2. Getting up early and exercising are now habits.

3. I have to finish the great book I am reading.

4. I had never heard the phrase "grin and bear it" and it still doesn't make since to me.

5. Smile through the pain the way I always do.

6. How was I to know you have to push down while turning to get my lotion bottle opened!.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to The county cup soccer game BEHS Vs. BRHS, tomorrow my plans include taking Alysa shopping, organizing me sewing room and dinner with Ashley and Sunday, I want to go to church with my family and enjoy a relaxing evening with them!

Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Breakfast
If your job made you move, but you could choose which country you would be living in, which country would you choose and why? The coast of Italy! Or a villa in France. They just sound romantic and fun!

Lunch
Do you have any phobias? I'm getting better but I really don't like the dark. I have a problem with mice and snakes!!

Dinner
What is something you can't help but spend money on? Well, I can't help buying groceries ( although I do threaten my family!) I often think of all the vacations and books I could buy if I didn't have to buy groceries!!

Midnight Snack
What profession/job did your parent(s) have while you were growing up? My father managed cattle ranches until I was 12 and then he worked at Autoliv as well as worked his own windshield repair business . After he retired he continued working with his business even up to the week he passed away. My mother worked as a homemaker most of her life and also managed several marketing businesses. She currently is working as a receptionist.

Recipe of the Week.

BEHS soccer season started off with a WIN!! After weeks of conditioning a grueling tryout followed by a two weeks of intense conditioning and a week of canceled games because of snow, BEHS boys soccer came off with a win against Salam Hills. Final Score 2-1

A new coach and some much needed changes were felt as the team started the season with a new tradition. "The Alumni Game." The past alumni of BEHS were invited to come to the game and play a 45 min game in between JV and Varsity. A special recognition was also given to past coach Delos Wiberg.

It was a fun afternoon at the BEHS soccer field!
