"Life just is. You have to flow with it. Give yourself to the moment. Let it happen." Governor Jerry Brown
Today's quote offers some great advice. One of my biggest challenges has been relinquishing control. As a wife and mother and someone who likes to be evolved in many things. I have become someone who likes to control... EVERYTHING! Beware those who feel too much control, also often feel responsible for the feelings and/or actions of others. This is a difficult path to tread on.
Several years ago, I finally came to the slow realization that the only person I could control was myself. There were many people I wanted to help or influence, but ultimately, I can only put my "best" out there. Each person can then take it or leave it. I am not responsible for others' decisions or actions.
While relinquishing control is difficult, it is also extremely freeing. It's as if a weight lifts off of your shoulders when you truly internalize the fact that you are only accountable for you. The less time you spend trying to control external circumstances, the more time you can spend "giving yourself to the moment."

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." Jim Rohn
How important it is to recognize that both motivation and habit are needed as we seek to change and improve our lives.
Motivation is the spark that often gets us moving. But within that initial motivation, we must work hard to develop positive and effective habits to keep us moving. Success is made from both motivation and habits, not one or the other.
In order to sustain a high-level of motivation while giving us time to create new habits, we must stay positive and solution oriented. It is also helpful to communicate with others who are making changes in their lives and use their excitement as a springboard for our own.
I need to keep my habits in check daily!!

This past week we Celebrated Pioneer Days! I am so very thankful for those pioneers that have gone before me to establish freedoms I enjoy today! I am thankful for pioneers today that stand for truth and righteousness in word and example. As the world becomes more and more evil may we all stand stronger and better in our quest for Zion!

I have been tagged!
I have visited 17 states and lived in 4
I have visited 17 states and lived in 4
Put an X by the states you have visited. The average is 8; how do you match up?
Should you chose to play, here's what you do:
Copy my note. Click on “notes” under tabs on your profile page. Select "write a new note" in the top right corner. Paste the copy in the body of the note. Delete my Xs and add your own. Change the number at the top, and add your title. Once you've saved, don't forget to tag friends (including me) on the right. Tag the same # of people as the # of states you've been to (I think you're limited to 30!). Just for fun, put an O beside the states where you have lived.

I am thankful today for a loving Heavenly Father who has not left us alone....................I am thank for my knowledge of the plan of salvation. A plan to come into mortality to learn and to grow and to become like our Father in Heaven. I am especially grateful to know that God watches me and looks out for me and through his prophets has revealed precious truth and words of comfort to me through the scriptures. I believe the Bible to be the word of God as for as it is translated correctly, I also stand as a witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and another testament of our Savior Jesus Christ.
