NieNie inspires me on a daily basis! There is something about the spirit of this woman, a mother, and a friend to all that touches my heart. Stephanie Nelson is inspiration to my heart...............when ever I am down or thinking life is tough, as it is a lot of the time I turn to NieNie and she inspires me! She has become my best friend and I have never met her. Her heart is my heart, her testimony is my testimony. I believe as she does, in the healing power of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know with faith and hope and prayer all things are possible. For a link to her blog go here.

Food For Thought............

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Breakfast What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? I love pancakes, not the traditional white fluffy kind with loads of sticky syrup but the whole wheat kind, with sprouted seed mix, fresh fruit yum!

Lunch What is something that you are disappointed about right now. Our soccer team lost to Mountain Crest! Tough game, tough loss.......on the brighter side we are not out of the play, not by a long shot this team still has the chance to take region and move on to taking the State title! I am also disappointed that the weather has hampered our shed making plans...oh well there is always next week!

Dinner
What is in your fridge right now? Not much!

We had a leak and John need to tip it over to fix it, which means I had to finally clean it!! So we have some milk, eggs, condiments, cheese cake, left over pork meat, cheese, lunch meat, bean dip, salsa, flax seed oil, spouted seed mix, rice milk, butter, lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and special punch for Alex's birthday dinner!

Midnight Snack What are you really anticipating right now? Alex's birthday cheese cake we are about to have in 1 hour!!

2. I am enjoying my break from school and I left my book at the book store.
3. Why is it May and it is still snowing?.
4. Planning a vacation was in my thoughts today.
5. One of my father's favorite sayings was humm.....I will have to think on that, I don't know if he had a saying..............
6. Pure JOY--I know that feeling!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to another soccer game..........against Mountain Crest............we need the WIN, tomorrow my plans include hopefully working in the yard building our shed, or I should say cooking while John and the boys build the shed............and Sunday, I want to enjoy going to church with my family, making Alex's birthday dinner and enjoying family time!!!!

My baby turns 18!

Can you say baby and 18 in the same sentence? Boy how time flies when you are having fun.........and fun in what I have had being Alex's mom! Motherhood has blessed me in many ways and Alex is one of them. Alex is very competitive, he was blessed with athletic gifts, and it has been fun watching him develop them through the years. When he was two years old he received a basket ball hoop for his birthday, and every night he had to make 10 shots before he would go to bed. I usually had the other to bed and John worked nights so I would stay up watching his determination night after night, and after the 10 he would go right to bed! I had to stay down for 6 months of my pregnancy with Alex, and it was quite the challenge with three small ones already to look after, but it was worth every minute to bring this special spirit into the world. The quality Alex has that I admire the most is his ability to control his emotions. He has never once, been angry with me or his dad or any of his siblings or anyone for that matter. He takes things in stride and doesn't take offense. He is humble and a person we are all drawn to. I don't know how he does it................and it is a quality I try to follow after.
Happy Birthday Alex!!

Food 4 Thought

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Breakfast What is your favorite cereal? That would have to be my home made granola! I also really like cooked oat groats.

Lunch Have you ever experienced an earthquake? Yes, when I was nine years old. We lived in Garland , I was setting on the toilet doing my thing and the toilet began to shake!!!! I didn't know what was going on and I was afraid I was going in to the toilet!! Need less to say my family had a good laugh, and I will always remember the only earthquake tremors I have ever felt..................and hopefully ever will. Not really likely knowing that I live on a fault line!! Brady felt the one in our area just last week, he is doing at internship with KUTV 2 UTah news so he called in and they put him on the air live with Mark Koelbel!

Dinner What is something or someone you are missing right now? I find myself missing my Dad a lot these days. We bought his truck from my mom and it is like having a part of him...he was always in his truck, working or playing!! My dad also love to watch Alex play soccer and with this being his final season I wish my Dad could be here to cheer him on! I do know that he watches over our family, celebrating our joys with us.

Midnight Snack When is the last time you cried? Everyday for the past two weeks!! The end of the semester was really challenging for me. I had some major comprehensive test that really challenged me and I found myself exhausted and in tears many nights! I know when we challenge ourselves we grow..............I passed all of my test in the 90's and ended the semester with good grades for my efforts.....now the question...........can I keep this up????

1. Where are my glasses? I lost them yesterday after taking two finals, my brain was fried and I can't remember where I left them!!
2. If wishes were horses I would want a stand peed.
3. I'd like to see good grades when I pull them up in two days.
4. When I was a teen, I thought Donny Osmond was dreamy! Oh wait I still do!!.
5. One of my mother's favorite sayings was "are you popping birds?".
6. I'd have a hard time doing without my glasses!.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to Alex's soccer game and taking lots of pictures, tomorrow my plans include working in my yard, cleaning my house ( long over due) maybe a date with my sweet man and Sunday, I want to teach my Sunday school lesson, make Sunday dinner for my family and relax!
