Breakfast

What is the most interesting car you have ever owned and why? That would have to be my first car a Chevet I bought from my brother Kevin. I paid for it while I was working as a nanny. When I returned from my venture I owned a car! It wasn't the best looking car, yet it was reliable transportation!! The Chevet took me to collage and came with me into marriage and was the vehicle that transported me to the hospital to deliver our first two children!! I eventually sold it back to my family and my two teenage brothers drove it until the floor boards rusted out!!

Lunch
What book are you currently reading? NONE! Which isn't typical for me! I have read four books since Christmas! "A distant Thunder" and "Winds of hope" by Anita Standsfield one of my favorite Authors. "The Last Lecture" A must read for everyone, I totally love this book and plan on reading it several more times......... I told my children that it was a required read for this year!! The fourth book was one of the funnest stories I have ever read "Enchanted" by Orson Scott Card. I am currently looking for my next book!

Dinner
Did you have any pets growing up? I grew up on a Ranch so I had several. We always had a dog, and a cat and usually more that one. I had a pet calf I named "Two Tails", I helped my dad deliver her, shortly after her mother died. Another cow had a calf that died so my dad cut the hide off the dead calf and sewed in onto the calf who's mother died so that she would have the scent of the calf that died and the mother cow, who's calf that died would pick up her scent and accept her new calf...........confused? Anyway that is how it ended up with the name "Two Tails". I always had a horse to ride, but our horse named "Scar" was my favorite.

Midnight Snack
How do you unwind at night? Usually by reading! I love to have my feet rubbed, or a warm bath when I am round up!

Truths about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
A lesson in gratitude.

Life happens and sometimes we don't always know and appreciate all the are Heavenly Father has in store for us. I am thankful today for a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the most part those that read my blog are my friends and family who share my beliefs. For those that don't know me, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. On Sundays I would like to share my beliefs. My faith is centered in Jesus Christ. I am a christian. It is my prayer as you come to know me you come to know him.

The following video is a message in gratitude. You will need to put my music player on pause to hear better.

Friday Memes:

Food for thought..............

Breakfast
Who was your childhood hero? My Grandmothers! I loved them both so very much! They lived close and I would go and stay with them for two weeks in the summertime! One week with my Grandmas Dora in the quiet town of Mayfield, UT. She would take me to visit her sisters, we would quilt, make cookies and watch soap operas! I would go home addicted to "Days of our Lives" . When I would go back home my mom would never let me watch so I would have to wait until the next summer to catch up! Grandma Dora was always dressed to the hilt with her hair all done up and ear rings on. Her home was immaculate, she taught me grace and poise. Grandma Ruth was just the opposite she was always on the go looking for someone to help and serve. If she saw a hitch-hiker on our route ( which happened twice when I was with her) she would stop pick them up, take them into town and buy them lunch and put them on the bus. My week with her was filled with, working in her garden, quilting, cooking and do Relief Society stuff. I think she was the Relief Society president for 25 years!! Two totally different women and I like to think I have a little of both of them in me!

Lunch
In your opinion what is the world's greatest invention so far? I would have to say the computer and the automobile! I also love my bread maker!!

Dinner
What time do you typically get up in the morning and what time do you usually go to bed? I wake up without an alarm almost every morning at 5:30am. On weekends I try to sleep in or at least stay in bed until 7:00am! I am usually in bed by 10:30 except weekend, it is harder and harder for me to stay up late!

Midnight Snack
What was your last thought? Spring is on its way!

When you make a mistake, don’t look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power.—Hugh White
